Our Backstory
Family Can Travel is brought to you by Celine Brewer and Dan Brewer. From the moment we met, we’ve been passionate about active world travel. Before kids, we had some pretty incredible travel experiences together including a year-long trip around the world. Some of our most memorable travel experiences pre-kids included seeing the Dalai Lama in India, dancing all night at Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro and swimming with humpback whales in Tonga. Heck, we even spent our honeymoon hiking to Ama Dablam in Nepal!
When our first child joined our family, many people told us our traveling days were over. Boy, were they wrong. We took our daughter on her first international flight at the age of three months, when we took her to Barcelona, Spain. We were so excited to share our love of travel with our daughter, that we started our very first travel blog, Baby Can Travel, which over the last 10 years has grown into one of the most trusted sources of baby travel information available.
Our family travel adventures became even better when our son joined the family 2 years later. His first flight was at the age of 2 months, when we took a family trip to Sedona, Arizona. Since that time, the four of us have traveled all over the globe together, creating amazing family travel memories along the way.
Why Did we Create Family Can Travel?
We created Family Can Travel to share our passion for traveling with kids with others. We’ve seen first-hand the benefits of traveling with kids, especially when it’s active, outdoor adventures. The world is filled with beautiful places and kind people, and traveling with our kids is the best way possible to show them how the world really is.
Through Baby Can Travel and Family Can Travel, we discovered that we love travel writing so much that we left our careers to become full-time travel bloggers. In addition to our two family travel websites, we also own Travel Banff Canada, which shares the beauty of our hometown with the world. In addition, Dan has created Ultimate Sports Road Trip, which shares his passion for traveling to see big-time sporting events.

3 weeks visiting the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah, USA

3 weeks in Colombia (including a multi-day hike to the Lost City!)

2 weeks in Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park (our last trip before COVID)
Unable to fly anywhere, we made the best of it by exploring the best hikes in Banff National Park, Canada in summer, followed by the best things to do in Banff in winter.

7 days in Revelstoke, British Columbia (taking advantage of the ability to travel within Canada)

7 Days in Cabo San Lucas (Yay! Our first international family vacation in nearly 2 years!)

A week in Vieques, Puerto Rico followed by a visit to Grandpa in New Mexico
2 weeks in South Korea (Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island)
40 days in Europe (Amsterdam, Austria and Slovenia).

3 weeks in Thailand for Christmas

2 Weeks in Portugal and Spain (Sintra, Portugal and Hiking the Portuguese Coastal Camino with kids).
2 weeks on a family safari trip to Kenya.
