Riverside Walk in Zion National Park
The Riverside Walk is an excellent easy Zion hike with tons of epic scenery with very little effort required. Alongside the Riverside Walk, it really feels like Zion National Park is just showing off… the scenery is really incredible.
Lower Emerald Pool Trail in Zion National Park
The Lower Emerald Pool is an easy hike in Zion National Park along a paved walking trail to a waterfall flowing into an emerald pool of water. After crossing the Virgin River on a fun half-moon bridge, the Emerald Pools trail begins to climb slowly up the side of the mountain through a well-treed patch of forest.
Hiking Angels Landing in Zion National Park Solo
Though I love traveling with kids, I’m the first to say that at times I do miss the days of traveling pre-kids. Don’t get me wrong, I love traveling with kids and wouldn’t have it any other way, but there are usually things we’d like to do that are impossible with kids. I do not often like to admit that things are “impossible” with kids, but I would not hike Angels Landing with kids.
Watchman Trail – Zion National Park
The Watchman Trail in Zion National Park is a great kid-friendly hike which offers amazing views of Zion Canyon without a tremendous amount of work.
Hiking Pa’rus Trail with Kids in Zion National Park
Those looking for easy Zion Canyon National Park hikes should look no further than the Pa’rus Trail. This flat, paved path begins at the Zion National Park Visitor Center and ends at Canyon Junction (shuttle stop #3).
Hiking Weeping Rock Trail with Kids in Zion National Park
The Weeping Rock Trail is a fun and easy Zion National Park hike. With a chance to get wet and also see beautiful wildflowers in one of Zion’s hanging gardens, this trail offers something for everyone in the family.
Northgate Peaks Trail – Zion National Park
If you are looking to escape the crowds and the hot Zion Canyon National Park weather, the Northgate Peaks Trail is a perfect choice. Located in a remote area northwest of the main Zion National Park area, this easy hike is a pleasant stroll through a mature Ponderosa Pine forest. The payoff is great views of the Northgate Peaks and the Zion Canyon in the distance.
Chimney Rock Trail – Capitol Reef National Park
Chimney Rock is an impressive, towering natural spire which rises over 300 feet above the road. The Chimney Rock Trail takes you to the top of a mesa and allows hikers a view looking down on Chimney Rock as well as the amazing scenery up and down the valley.
Slickrock Foot Trail – Canyonlands National Park
Located in the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park, the Slickrock Foot Trail is quite possibly the most fun hike we did during our month-long Utah road trip with kids.
