Tenerife, Spain is a magical place for a family vacation. Blessed with incredible natural beauty, endless miles of beaches and a wide variety of theme parks and attractions, you’ll never forget a family trip to Tenerife. Being such a family-friendly destination in the Canary Islands, it’s no surprise that there are plenty of family hotels in Tenerife to choose from.
When planning our vacation to the Canary Islands, we knew we wanted to visit Tenerife, but we were unsure which other islands to see. Our choice to visit La Palma was clear when we discovered La Palma’s nickname is La Isla Bonita (The beautiful island) and the entire island is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Add to this an ample number of volcanoes and we knew there would be a lot of amazing La Palma hiking trails.
There’s a good reason why they call La Palma, “La Isla Bonita” (the “beautiful island“). As we were researching which Canary Islands to visit on our family vacation, we instantly knew we had to visit La Palma with our kids. Sure, it doesn’t have the theme parks or water parks like when you visit Tenerife with kids, but did you know the entire island of La Palma is a UNESCO biosphere reserve?!?
We imagine that most blog posts about visiting Tenerife with kids will focus solely on the amazing theme parks around Costa Adeje. This is perfect natural, after all, these are undoubtedly very fun activities for kids on Tenerife, but it would be shame if your family didn’t also venture out to see the incredible natural beauty of this spectacular Canary Island.
Seville is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, and perhaps all of Europe. With ample UNESCO World Heritage sites to visit (like the Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcazar) and an abundance of fun things to do with kids in Seville, you have all the necessary ingredients for an excellent family vacation.
