The Conic Hill Walk is a very popular hike with amazing views on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond. This is a fun opportunity for day walkers to enjoy portions of the iconic West Highland Way long distance hike.

Hiking The Quiraing on Isle of Skye
If you spend some time on our blog, it will come as no surprise when we say that we love to hike. We have hiked in some of the most beautiful places around the world, including Nepal, Canada, Italy, the Andes, Norway, etc., so it’s pretty high praise when we were hiking the Quiraing on Isle of Skye and Celine turns to me and says, “This may be the most beautiful hike we’ve ever done”. Wow!
The Fairy Pools Hike on Isle of Skye
Hiking the Fairy Pools is one of the top things to do on the Isle of Skye. It’s a relatively easy hike in a wide open valley with the dramatic Cuillin mountains looming in the distance. The hike follows a section of the River Brittle, which has many waterfalls, many of which have a deep pool of water at the base of the waterfall. On a sunny day, these pools of water are a brilliant, crystal blue leading to them being called the “Fairy Pools”.
Old Man of Storr Hike on Isle of Skye
The Old Man of Storr hike is one of the best Isle of Skye hikes we did, with incredible views in every direction. Even from the highway, you can sense what a special place this is, but the experience at the top makes it so much better. This is one of the top things to do on the Isle of Skye and can be done with kids.
Hiking Brother's Point on Isle of Skye
If you are looking for some amazing Isle of Skye hiking with less crowds, the Brother’s Point, or Rubha nam Brathairean, is an excellent option. The scenery all along the Brother’s Point hike is incredible. It’s just a few minutes north of the Old Man of Storr hike and can be done back-to-back.

Belfast with kids? That’s a good question… To be honest, we didn’t know much about Belfast prior to visiting, but it turned out to be a pretty fun place to take the kids. Killarney National Park is a nature lover’s paradise. It’s home to some of Ireland’s highest mountains and its largest remaining semi-natural woodlands. Nestled within this natural wonderland is a chain of beautiful lakes, an abundance of wildlife and plenty of family-friendly activities.
Cycling the Gap of Dunloe with Kids
One of the best things to do in the Killarney National Park is the Gap of Dunloe. The Gap of Dunloe is an incredibly scenic, narrow mountain pass which separates the Purple Mountains from MacGillycuddy’s Reeks (the highest mountain range in Ireland).
