Hiking has long been a passion for us and one we knew wouldn’t go away when we had kids. Especially when we travel, we find hiking to be one of the best ways to get away from the crowds and experience the region in a completely different way.
Getting out on a stand up paddle board or kayak with kids is an incredibly fun way to get out on the water and enjoy your surroundings in a completely different way!
Thailand is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, tropical jungles and warm, friendly locals. There are so many things to do in Thailand for kids. It’s no wonder that Thailand is such an amazing holiday destination and you can expect the same for your Thailand family holidays.
Here is a short list of things parents should know before traveling to Thailand with kids:
Valle de Bravo is where Mexico City’s upper-class comes to enjoy their weekends, so after 5 days in Mexico City with kids we thought we’d join them! Nestled high in the mountains on the shores of beautiful Lago Avandaro, Valle de Bravo is a wonderful place to visit. We enjoyed some great hiking, stand-up paddleboarding an even knocked off one of our bucket-list items – viewing the millions of Monarch Butterflies which have migrated from Canada for the winter. It was truly amazing!
Thailand is world-renowned for its lush tropical surroundings and beautiful beaches. Here are a few of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches which your family will love:
After two weeks of temples, temples and more temples in the north, we knew we’d be ready for a Thailand beach holiday with kids. It was hard to choose from the long list of amazing Thailand beach destinations with kids, but we ultimately chose Ao Nang for its incredible scenery. Dramatic limestone karst mountains tower overhead everywhere you look, both on land and sea; it’s really an incredible setting.
We’ve been to Mexico with kids before but we’ve always wanted to visit Mexico City. To be honest, we were a bit scared given its reputation as a dangerous city. With the reputation of Mexico City having improved significantly in recent years, we decided to give it a go and we are glad we did!
Mexico City (CDMX) is a vibrant city with an amazing history, world-class attractions and friendly locals. Here are some of the top things to do in Mexico City with kids:
Most people travel to Chiang Mai to enjoy outdoor activities in its beautiful setting. We were really hoping to go for a Chiang Mai bike tour in the countryside, but we weren’t sure if we could find a tour operator with cycling equipment for kids (ours were 3 & 5 years old at the time).
Bringing our kids to a Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary was a top priority for our visit to Chiang Mai with kids. Sadly, there are many elephant parks in Thailand which mistreat the animals, so we did a lot of research to find an ethical elephant camp.
