When it comes to family travel in Asia, South Korea often gets overlooked in favor of the tourism powerhouses like Thailand, Indonesia or Japan. But that’s a bit of a shame, as visiting Seoul with kids can be an excellent family vacation destination.
3 Days in Sintra with Kids
When we were researching destinations for our family trip to Portugal, Sintra quickly emerged as the clear winner. Set in the stunning hills west of Lisbon, Sintra is filled with great hiking, fairy-tale castles and a fascinating history. We were so excited about visiting this magical destination that we set aside 3 days in Sintra with kids during our family vacation to Portugal and Spain.
Portuguese Coastal Camino with Kids
Over the past few years, we have started to enjoy more active travel with our kids. We’ve gone on family cycling tours in France, and hut-to-hut hiking tours in Slovenia, so for our Easter trip we wanted to continue to build on this active family travel theme. Then we found it… hiking the Portuguese Coastal Camino with our kids was the perfect active family trip for us!
3 Days in Bocas del Toro with Kids
Two of our favorite family vacations of all time were to Costa Rica with kids and a family trip to Colombia. As Panama is sandwiched in-between these two countries, we knew we had to take a family vacation to Panama. Visiting Panama City was a must, but we also wanted some quality time on a Caribbean beach too, so we planned a visit to Bocas del Toro with kids.
Panama City With Kids
To be honest, we didn’t know much about Panama or Panama City when we first kicked around the idea of coming here. We had previously really enjoyed a family trip to Costa Rica, and a separate trip to Colombia with kids, so given Panama is right in the middle of these two amazing countries, we figured we’d love it too!
It didn’t take us very long to figure out we were going to love visiting Panama City with kids! We’re generally not big into cities, but Panama City is one of the few mega-cities on Earth with a thriving national park right next door.
Panama City Carnival with Kids
We had planned our family trip to Panama City in February to coincide with a week-long break from their school. We chose Panama City as our destination in large part because of all the outdoor adventures we could enjoy. As it turns out, our trip to Panama City with kids coincided with their annual carnival celebration.
