STARTING THE HIKE
The Angels Landing trail takes you through the shady and cool Refrigerator Canyon (not just a clever name).
After Refrigerator Canyon, you climb up Walter's Wiggles, a series of 21 switchbacks, to Scout Lookout.
Take a break at Scout Lookout before you start the final section across the Hogsback on narrow, exposed trail using chains for assistance.
What you worked so hard for! Take a moment to take it in, before doing the trail in reverse.
TIPS FOR HIKING ANGELS LANDING
Carry all your stuff in a small backpack. You’ll want your hands free for holding chains.
Do not hike the trail if it’s raining or a storm is looming. Make sure you have plenty of daytime left to finish the hike.
Be prepared to go slowly behind large groups. Don’t try to pass them, take this time to enjoy your surroundings.
Go early, to beat the crowds and the heat. Pack all the water you'll need too!
Take your time and enjoy every second of this exhilarating hike.
