As a family with a deep love for travel, we wanted our kids to have a tangible record of their best memories. After returning from trips (especially when school was missed), teachers often asked to see their travel journals. However, finding the right journal was always a challenge.
We have two wonderful kids with different journaling needs. One is a natural writer, effortlessly filling pages with stories and observations. The other often struggles with what to write. Traditional travel journals and plain notebooks just didn’t cut it for us.
So, with the help of our 8 and 10-year-olds, we crafted a unique journal that caters to both writing styles. It has fully lined pages for our avid writer and thoughtfully designed prompts to guide our hesitant writer.
As an active family that loves hiking, biking, and a plethora of outdoor activities, we made sure this journal specifically celebrates these adventures. Whether it’s a trek through the woods or a day of ziplining, every experience finds its place in our journal.
What’s more, our travels often last two weeks or longer. With this in mind, we’ve made our journal a printable PDF.
