We are professional travelers, but as small business owners and parents of two small kids (aged 2 & 5), we often find ourselves without enough time to properly prepare for our trips. Thankfully our years of travel experience has taught us to adapt and plan on the fly. That said, there were a handful of things we wish we had known before going to Magic Kingdom Orlando with our kids.
Family vacations to the Disney theme parks are a big deal. A trip to Disney will be one of the most special trips your family will take together. We want to help make your visit the best it can be, so during our recent two day visit to Magic Kingdom Orlando, we paid close attention to what do people bring to Disney to make their days more comfortable and enjoyable.
Like many 5 year olds, our daughter is all about princesses. She watches endless Disney princess movies, wears princess dresses and tiaras every day, has pretend royal weddings (to her Dad, her brother, the dogs…. anyone who will participate), reads books, etc, etc, etc. When we decided to do a SE USA road trip, we knew we had to visit Orlando to let her be a princess at Disney World for a day.
When we decided to visit to Orlando for three days, we didn’t have any firm plans outside of a few days at Disney World. Despite being professional travelers, we don’t often have much time to plan travel details ahead of time. We typically use guide books and websites like TripAdvisor and Yelp, but often we wish we had information about great attractions, restaurants etc. that others don’t have.
